Tattoo Aftercare

  1. Keep bandage/wrap on for a minimum of one hour before removing. After removal, wash with antibacterial non-scented soap (we prefer our H2Ocean Soap)

  2. Let the tattoo air dry or blot it with a clean paper towel. Dab, do not scrub the new tattoo

  3. Apply a thin layer of one of our aftercare products/Aquaphor. We carry multiple brands and organic products to accommodate to each client’s skin type

  4. Repeat this process daily, 3 times a day, for the first 5 days

  5. After 3-5 days, the new tattoo will start peeling and itching. DO NOT SCRATCH OR PICK AT IT! Continue keeping the area clean to the best of your ability. Moisture is key!

  6. Tattoos typically take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to completely heal. Every person heals differently, so remain patient.

Additional Considerations:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure, salt/chlorine water, and hot tubs until your tattoo is completely healed

  • In the event that mild scabbing occurs, do not pick or attempt to “wash off” the scab. This is part of the healing process, so allow the skin to do so by itself. You may apply a mild skin lotion to keep flaking to a minimum

Piercing Aftercare

  1. Wash your hands

  2. Spray one of our aftercare products on the area. Use a cotton Q-Tip to remove dried build-up on/around the jewelry. Repeat 3 times daily

  3. Try not to sleep on the new piercing for the first couple of weeks to avoid swelling

  4. DO NOT TOUCH THE PIERCING DURING THE HEALING PROCESS

  5. Keep the jewelry in until the piercing is completely healed. Healing time varies between different piercings

  6. Call or come in if you would like to check with the piercer to see if your piercing is healing well

Laser removal Aftercare

  1. If you experience redness or swelling after treatment, apply a cold pack for 15-20 minutes to affected area(s) up to 4 times a day. OTC Hydrocortisone (eg. Cortaid 1% cream) may be applied over the involved areas at bedtime if desired

  2. Do not wear restrictive clothing over a treated area for at least 48-72 hours

  3. An emollient such as Aquaphor should be applied over each treated area to allow for proper healing

  4. Do not let the area dry out or scab. This is especially important during the first 48 hours

  5. You may shower the following day, but try to avoid saturation of the involved area (use of bathtub/spa); also do not scrub the area until it is completely healed

  6. Minimize any vigorous activity for a few days to optimize the healing process

  7. FOR TATTOOS LOCATED ON ANKLE AREA OR FEET: Avoid excessive athletic activity (eg. running/jogging) for at least 48-72 hours after a treatment. If swelling occurs in treated spot, elevation of the affected area and applying ice as described above should address the problem
